A local car all it's life, this 49 Chevy Business Coupe came to us with a 427 big block, TH-400 trans, and a nine inch Ford. Stock brakes and stock steering, SCARY!!! So, we pulled the frame out and installed a Chubby Chassis IFS with power steering. The rear frame received a set of 2X4 Art Morrison frame rails, narrowed 3" for a little more tire room. We fitted it with a triangulated 4-link on the 9" that was there. The stock brakes were upgraded to CPP 13" front and 12" rear brakes. The drive train was updated with a 400HP aluminum LS2, backed by a 4L60E transmission. Cooled by a Griffin radiator and Spall fans. Creature comforts include a Flaming River tilt column, Dakota Digital Dash, and Vintage Air. Rolling stock, we updated with Center Line wheels done up with stock caps, 17X7 front and 17X11 rear with a 325/45/17 tire. Also, this was one of our first projects in our new paint shop, we painted it a nice satin black.
